Official Server Idea

I'm playing around with the idea of an official server again. We had one a year ago, but back then the mod didn't have as much to offer and the community was still growing.

It would probably run CS since that's most popular, but I'd also like to put a nice variety of AMX Mod X specific plugins on it for people to play around with not just admins). Basically, fun stuff that when combined makes for unique, oddball gameplay (sort of like SillyZone for TFC or something).

Do people think this sort of thing is a good idea? If so, do you have any specific ideas of how we should do it?

If you really like this idea, I'm willing to hand it off to someone as the "Official Server Project" so they can admin the server and make sure the custom plugins are working.

Yes, I've always wanted an offical AMXX server, and think it would be cool to have one

The setup would probably be something like, you type specific commands to enable little features on yourself.

If you're going to recommend your own plugin, you should at the very least link to it

EDIT: I also think tying it into the forums somehow would be cool. Like, the higher your karma, the more things you can access or something. Or like channel idle time, like with DMU.

*Like the one from jghg forum mod (i think), it shows your stats or maybe only in the players profile (this is for the forum).

*Cycle through the plugin forum testing and try mini mods once in a while.

*Plugin of the month/week, have a voting of current custom plugins, and the top5 or something gets ++karma.

*Jaba TV would be nice too, but I dont know much about it.
