    Left 4 Dead Infected Spawner

    Description


    This plugin provides a menu that allows admins to spawn any type of infected at any location while playing in campaign or versus mode. It also provides a command for causing a "panic event", which will force a horde to appear whenever the admin chooses.

    These commands are normally available with sv_cheats on, using z_spawn <type> and director_force_panic_event, but this plugin works with sv_cheats off.

    Install

    Place "infectedspawn.smx" in your left4dead/addons/sourcemod/plugins folder.

    Keamos has created a version of this that contains a menu for spawning weapons as well. Use "infectedspawnguns.smx" if you prefer this version.


    Usage

    Bring up the admin menu using sm_admin in console. A "Left 4 Dead" category has been added that contains access to this plugin's features. Alternatively, sm_spawn_infected will bring up the spawning menu directly. If you are using the gun spawning version, sm_spawn_weapons will bring up the weapons menu.

    sm_force_panic_event is the equivalent of director_force_panic_event that works without sv_cheats being on.

    Does this spawn the selected infected at the crosshair? I tried making a similar plugin but couldn't get it to work properly.

    Nice dude, fun to play around with!

    Everything seemed to work great, no troubles. Only thing I'd like to see change would be to have the force panic menu stay open after its run instead of closing.

    Yes, it does. That's the default functionality for the z_spawn commands.

    Thanks! I'd suggest binding a key to "sm_force_panic_event" and you'd be able to call those babies out whenever you'd like without going through menus. The director limits it somewhat, but you can still get away with enough

    I hear ya, nothing beats a nice tidy menu though

    I'm hosting 5 different mods now and actively play them all on occasion, it's getting to hard to remember all the binds anymore, lol.

    Could you make it so it changes the cvar though, so we can spawn more common infected?

    I'm not trying to replace any other person's plugin, I created this one before finding these forums. If you find that another plugin does the same thing and suits you better, go for it!

    Thanks! I guess you're referring to the cvar z_common_limit. I don't mess with that because my computer would easily die and I wouldn't have fun bashing the losing team with hundreds of commons =P
