I've got a name changer hacker, and it is absolutely frustrating to kick and ban him/her because he/she changes hi/her name every 30 secs. I'm in need of a plugin that does:

1. Enables me to ban via steamid with the admin menu instead of nick and
2. Automatically bans a player if their nick changes more than 5 times in 5 minutes.

Does such a plugin exist?

I would really appreciate it if you could point me in the right direcrtion.

Thanks

Erm, SourceMod bans by Steam ID by default.

Sorry, let me rephrase

On the admin menu, when you want to ban a player, it brings up their nick and you choose the appropiate nick and the poof, he is gone. Is there a way to make the "display" on the admin menu show steam id's and/or nicks?

Please help.

The name on the menu is only there for display. Selecting their name doesn't actually find them by the name.

It finds the steamid (i assume), but the name links to the id in the menu. If the hacker keeps changing their name, then it's a big task to ban him. Also I didn't mention that the names the hackers use are the names of the players on the server, so I don't want to ban the wrong player.

To show the name in the menue is a nice future.

But you can:
  • Type "Status" in the Console and get the User ID from player!!!
  • Type sm_ban <#userid> <0> [Hacking] in the Console!

If your using SM Super Menu it does selections by name.

However, if your using the admin menu that comes with SourceMod it generally will always do it by user id.

HS Fighter...you're a champ...thanks.

Could the developers please try to add in a something that shows steamid's in the admin menu....I would really appreciate it.

Also, anybody know if there is a plugin for players changing names to often in game?

I still don't see a real reason for this, since if you know the steam ID you're likely to know the userid as well.

I know that Mani Mod has this. But you might not need Mani Mod.
