[Obsolete_386]

Now you guys have probably answered this 1k times and i'm sorry for asking again but i couldn't find a solution in the forums.

Here is my problem (This is for a local server)

The instructions i am using to install metamod are from

I'm pretty sure i've followed them to the letter

I'm running it on windows so i downloaded the server.dll

Found my mod folder and made the addons, the metamod and the bin folder.

Put the server.dll in the bin folder and the BLANK (Is this right, i've seen elsewhere on the forums that people write stuff in it) metaplugins.ini in the metamod folder.

Edited my gameinfo.txt (did a search this is the only one) so it looks like this

GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin
Game |gameinfo_path|.
Game cstrike
Game hl2
}
I set my Gameinfo.txt to readonly

Now i run CS:S, go to console and type Meta.

It says "Unknown command "meta""
and when i look at my gameinfo.txt the
GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin
has been removed, and gameinfo.txt is not read only anymore.
I've tried it a couple of times, same result every time. Could anyone help me resolve this[/u]

Listen server? try this

Dedicated server? Make GameInfo.txt read only.
