I would just like to mention that it doesn't have anything to do with the provider. I currently use VPP as well as some of my own acquired advertisers and have no issue with either. Currently, even with the motd enabled, half of my servers do not display the MOTD upon connection while the other half does.

To test, if you set ads to play on a timer, you will hear video ads playing in the background on servers where your MOTD is enabled but it is not appearing. So, technically it works but it's definitely buggy. Valve must have overlooked something.

Though I'd be willing to bet, at this rate, we will lose the MOTD entirely by the end of the year similar to what Insurgency devs did. If not, there will probably be some serious restrictions. Stupid assholes get one rouge ad that causes a javascript pop up and they start crying that servers are infecting them with malware, when it's not the case at all. These huge threads that have been popping up on Reddit are going to fuck over lots of good communities who won't be in business too long after the MOTD goes away. Not too many communities these days are surviving off donations alone.

Just figured that out, server 1: motdgd works, vpp doesnt. server 2: neither work, haven't been able to test on others yet.

Applied SM updates, working fine.

However, my custom arms aren't working. I don't have n-arms installed (never did).
Yet I can't see arms, only knives/guns.

Anyone knows what should I do?

sv_disable_motd only disable the motd that shows up on connect?
will it effect the ads after they join the game? (i.e the ad that plays after player dies, switch side, etc.)
