I'm mostly talking about CSGO, but can you get a virus from simply joining a server? does sv_allowdownload/sv_allowupload have anything to do with it? (or cl_allowdownload/cl_allowupload)

there have been exploits in the past that let you download malicious files on client pcs
i'm not aware of if anything allowed them to run the files though
you should however for safety, disable the in-game browser with -no-browser just in case there's a new exploit that utilizes the motd browser
