The list I'm talking about is accessed through the Steam overlay. In the "Friends" box, clicking the "View Players" button will display a list of the players in your game under the "Current Game" tab. Is there a way to pick and choose who is displayed?

I've been browsing the engine.so symbol table (Linux server, of course) trying to see if any function names jumped out at me, but nothing so far. Can anyone give me hints, or point me in the right direction?

I believe that part would be handled by the Steam client and the Steam network, in a way you cannot alter through the server.

That's... not actually correct.

It's pulled back from the server using the A2S_PLAYER server query.

However, be aware that modifying this information is likely a violation of Valve's Policy of Truth (although Valve themselves modified CS:GO to block detailed player info unless you set host_players_show 2)

I don't think the A2S_PLAYER query is what I'm looking for. I see no mention of SteamID in that message specification. The list I'm talking about allows you to visit people's Steam profiles.
