Which VPS plan is better Open VZ KVM

Which vps would be more suited for some game servers

OPENVZ
3 cores @2.6ghz
2gb with 750mb swap
or
KVM
3 cores at 2.5ghz
2gb

The SSD space and bandwith are the same and both are intel xeons

How many servers?

Why not get a proper dedicated box or use shared hosting with a gsp?

My opinion. Neither are suitable.

Both are a bit slow CPU wise, even though core speed has not been a good indicator of total effective speed for a long time game servers tend to use only one thread (core) most of the time (there are a few exceptions) so the core clock can mean a lot. Even if we assume its a modern CPU it is probably a bit too slow

the cpu clock is a little slow, but it really depends on what gamemode your running, the tickrate and how many slots

Yeah true, its probably fine for 64 tick but I would imagine 128 would struggle and red line a lot.
