Sorry if it is very noobish thread, but i can not find the solution

I want to use mani's menu sounds with SM but clients did not get the sound files. Sound files are located where mani use them (cstrike/sound/admin_plugin/actions). I did not use mani admin plugin already. Its a linux server. Im using fast download. Maps and other sounds are downloaded fine.

since no one answered, i might as well try
i think menu sounds are by default set to 1; do your menus normally make sounds?
are you sure this isn't a fast dl problem? try deleting a map and the custom sounds from your local dir and see if redownloading works; bear in mind that other players can disable the download of custom files.

yes, map downloading is working. then i set it up correctly? soundfiles are given relative to cstrike/sound directory?

Why you want change SM admin menu sounds to using Mani Admin *.wav files locate different path what are exactly same sounds as SM default configuration ?

SM admin menu use sound files what are already every player computer, in big *.gcf file.

"buttons/combine_button7.wav"

If you really want players download custom files, then you need plugin for this example
"Admin Sounds" ,
"SM File/Folder Downloader and Precacher " or similiar.
If you had already plugin what upload custom files to players, just add your file in list.

But you can't overwrite files what already exist on client computer, example if those Mani Admin sound files.

But there is no point change in those files what you have showed.

hmm, i would change the default sound files because i could not hear them... The default SM admin menu is silent for me.

Then you say everybody should hear the default "buttons" sounds?

I searched for the buttons14.wav and combine_button7.wav in my client cstrike/sound directory and i could not find them. I am at work now, but i will test the default sounds again.

That sound files not in the cstrike folder. In the source sounds.gcf, i think.

Yeh, you need GCFScape program to peek inside those *.gcf files

Likely the server isn't telling the clients to download these files
The SM File/Folder Downloader and Precacher plugin may fix the problem if you tell it to download the sounds you want to use as menu sounds.

So default/core SM plugins are not forcing clients to download the menu sounds. I think there should be a note about this in the wiki.
