I used to play on a sever called Gib$ru$ they had a 32 man server but it was set to 31 (Reserve slot) But the 32 slot was only filled by clan members and nobody else (All clan members had a reserve slot. I also know nobody got kicked when that happened. It wasn't a 33 man hack. It said this when it was 32 full (32/31)

Now I have a 32 man server and I would like to do the same. I browsed all major reserve slot scripts (Mani, Bettle, source) and it doesn't seem like any of them work that way.

I also did a search on the forums but came up with nothing.

If you can point me in the right direction or let me know if this is possible, that would be great.

SM comes with a reserved slot plugin that does this. Look in /cfg/sourcemod/sourcemod.cfg for the cvars to configure.

Yeah I noticed that but it doesn't give you the option not to kick anybody.

That's what you're asking for though. They have a 32 player server, with one slot that kicks anybody that's not an admin, and sv_visiblemaxslots set to 31.

It doesn't seem to be working like they had it. Perhaps I didn't explain it properly. I'll try to clarify what I am saying and take my server as an example.

Alright, I have a 32 man server. I added 1 reserveslot for my admins / pref members. What I wanted it to do is always keep that 32nd slot for an admin / pref member. If that 32nd slot is filled they have to wait until somebody leaves the server before they can then use it once again. Is that possible? Since this is how they had it setup.

If it is possible what would be the proper setup to have it work that way. As you can see in my sig, I have it already set to 31 with 1 reserve but it kicks somebody when it's 31/31.... when I just want to see it say 32/31 without kicking.

With sm_reserve_type set to 1, it kicks players to keep the slot always empty. With it set to 0, it kicks players who try to join when the slot is empty who do not have a reserved slot, but when an admin connects, a player is not kicked to keep the slot free. Once someone leaves, then the slot is kept free until the next admin connects.

Perrrrrrfect! That's exactly why it didn't work. Usualy 0 means mod off and I think perhaps I just skipped the Cvar info in sourcemod.cfg because it was a 0.
