Dr. Knuckles will you just answer my question? No need to be rude.
I have some .vmt and .vtf files from gamebanana for spy. It's a skin for spy. No .mdl file.

Now how would I get this to work with Model Manager?

Please walk me through it.

Can someone please tell me how to convert .vtf and .vmt into .mdl

.vtf files are textures, .vmt files are material configs, and .mdl files are models. They're all different.

If you want to find out how to setup a skin so it's used on a custom model, here's a prohint since you apparently don't like searching: there's a tutorial at the start of this thread.

Yes I know you can't convert vtf and vmt into mdl.
This is what I need:
I have:
A folder materials\models\player\spy\spy_blue.vmt
\spy_blue.vtf
\spy_red.vmt
etc.
They are textures, they are a skin for the stock spy model, the tf2 spy model.
I've already read eraserhead's tutorial, but I still do not understand.

Can someone write a tutorial on how I would do this?

For anybody interested, I got the "Easter Demo" model (from GameBanana) working in a server-side configuration. Below is a download link if you want to add it into your mix for the up-coming holiday. Easter is just around the corner!

Happy Easter-Egg hunting!

Update: Fixed the .mdl.dep file and re-uploaded corrected archives.
