I have a "old" PC and I wanted to make it a game server (cs)

Operating System
many advise linux, but I think windows xp is fine for what I want.

remote control
Which program should I install on the server machine so I can access through the other PC and have total control over the server machine and can install/uninstall programs, create/edit/delete files etc...?

batch files?
After some research I read that I must create a batch file to run programs automatically,
I wanted a batch file so that when turning the PC on (or reboots, crashs) the hlds(more 1/2 programs) be executed automatically at high/low priority

For remote control use TeamViewer or Windows remote desktop.
For running, autorestart, hlds servers you can use ServerDoc.
This is all related to Windows.

Forget about batch files use software like ServerDoc or HLSM
http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=147880
As for the batch files they are not very effective with restarting the server if it crashes or some stuff like that because of that you should use ServerDoc or HLSM.

Best Regards!

and a batch file in the ws boot folder...

PHP Code:
