How do I increase the model name limit ?
If it is over a certain letters I get an error that the model is not found.

First learn to read my question and then post stuff... I wanted to know how to increase the model path letter limit or the name letter limit, I know where to put my zombies...

Hello Guys,
I am reposting this topic here since I believe this is actually the right place to ask my questions.
I would like to add a short tag to my zombies but some of which have a large name and whenever the zombie folder name is above 22 characters in length I get an error saying "model not found".
Do you know why I get this and how I can fix it ?
Example: The name "zombie_infected_human" works, but if I type "zombie_infected_humanNN" it does not. The tag I want to add is "VG_" in the beginning or, if possible even a bigger tag with "[" and "-" symbols.
Tell me if you need the .sma of a plugin.

I do not want to, really, is there a way to increase the name length capacity ?

Also, if I were to move the models in a folder of my choice (example: VG) it still won't work even though I changed the paths properly.

Hey, I just checked and it seems the limit is actually hard coded by CS (i.e. game engine, not ZP).

Full path gets capped at 63 characters:

"models/player/zombie_infected_human/zombie_infected_human.mdl" = 61 chars, OK
"models/player/zombie_infected_humanNN/zombie_infected_humanNN.mdl" = 65 chars, ERROR

So, I think the easiest solution for your problem is by using shorter names. You change this:

models/player/zombie_infected_humanNN/zombie_infected_humanNN.mdl

--->

models/player/z_infected_humanNN/z_infected_humanNN.mdl

Just make the "zombie" into "z".

If you still want to have names more than 63 characters, we have to wait for MeRcyLeZZ. I believe he has the solution.

Just make the name more simple, You can Typing the model more simple too
