In the specialists, Fu and Melee are a big part of the game, but at the same time most people are using guns. This results in unarmed or gunless players to get shot down without much chance of survival unless they are particularly skilled. I am running a server that keeps ammo loadouts low to try to minimize this, but i would like a plugin to add the finishing touch to the type of gameplay i want.

Basically i would want a plugin that will take away one of the attackers points (effectively giving him no points for the kill unless he stunts). The plugin would have to see what weapon the attacker killed the person with, and what weapon the defender was holding (not sure if that part is possible). If the attacker used a gun and the defender didn't have one, the kill is worth -1 point and a message displays saying they got a dishonorable kill.

Hopefully one of you has enough interest to program this plugin.
-thankyou

*Update*
After thinking about it for a while it would be nice to also have it give no points for killing someone who has been unarmed for 5 or more seconds. This way people who have chosen to go without guns or who have happpened upon this situation don't become a couple extra few points to someone flipping by with a full auto.

For the sake of balancing, those two delays would need to be editable and both would need to be able to be turned on and off.

but in all seriousness, I like the idea.
It also sucks being sniped out by some guy standing 50 yards away, while you and another guy are having a melee battle.

Yeah, it will help against that since it would be especially hard to get a stunt kill while you're sniping. i was also thinking, if possible, it might be a good idea to have a requirement of having been unarmed for a second or two before a kill against you is considered dishonorable, this way people can't switch to melee as soon as they realize they are going to die in an attempt to deprive their attacker of a point.

I'd be willing to have a go at coding this, it seems like it should be fairly straight-foward. I'm a bit busy at the moment (damn exams), but in about 2 weeks I'll see what I can do.

Thanks Maddo, whenever you get around to it is fine, i'm in the middle of exams as well.

Edit: Oh, and it doesn't look like i mentioned this in my request, but ideally both of the parts need an editable delay. (both the -1 point and the no points) And if the person you kill is the specialist you get full points.

so it would be -1 point to the kill if it was done within x seconds of the person being unarmed, and no points for the kill if it was done within y seconds of the person being unarmed. both conditions being able to be turned off. And if the person you killed was the specialist you get full points.
