Hello!

I still have lag spikes on my tf2 server , even though I used the latest stable SM & MM.

I just discovered that these lag spikes have an interval of 30 seconds, I mean, every 30 seconds, there is a lag spike.

Also , there are smaller duration lag spikes when someone connects to the server.

Please, I am waiting for a fix...

Where do you host your server?
What plugins do you have?

Is it possible that you try to run server with the most important plugins and try does the server lag?

I know at the moment that either servers or clients are lagging whenever a new player loads and/or changes loadouts (not sure which). This is likely caused by the changes Valve made to weapon loading.

Ok after testing my plugins one by one , I finally found the source of lags:

The following plugins named:

1) "playerranks" causes the 30-second-interval lag spikes

2) "stamm" causes the lag-on-player-connection

3) "TF2_Stats" causes lots of lag spikes , especially on kill

Please, the authors of the above plugins to fix them.

Did you setup any MySQL databases for those plugins or are you basically just using its standard settings. SQLite is pretty bad for plugins that track constantly, which is why your server is experiancing these spikes.

I am using its standard settings, since there is a folder named addons/sourcemod/data/sqlite. If only I knew how to make it to mysql, that would be great!

Most web hosts offer a few MySQL databases as part of their hosting packages, you might want to look into it, setting up a database with a web host should be fairly simple if they provide a control panel to do so, it's only a matter of editing the database.cfg to get it to use that database.
