You're not missing much, early sleeper, Arena is just a Quake team deathmatch. Scratch that, it's worse, it's a CS team deathmatch.

I can confirm that. I've been running Sudden Death Melee Redux without a hitch for quite some time. It now crashes the client(s) and effectively empties the server on sudden death. No errors in the error logs either.

Finally got it working....what a horrible game mode (IMHO). I'm sorry I wasted so much time on it.

it was weird, my arena server went into the default map rotation for some reason.

I changed mapcycle to arena, and maplist to arena, but it was on goldrush, and the nextmap was dustbowl...

does anyone know, in config_arena.cfg theres the line
maxplayers 24 // Team sizes are derived from maxplayers. Each arena match has 3 teams, two playing and one waiting in the queue. So maxplayers 18 will give you a max team size of 6 (18/3).
so does that mean if i set the maxplayers to 36 will it let me have 2 teams of 12?

Who knows.. i'm hoping there's a way to increase the max players of 11v11 though.

This is kind of OT.. but I don't think there's a Customs tab anymore, so it shouldn't matter if you have tags or not.

That is correct. Now server admins are encouraged to use server tags so that players can use the filter system.

Does anyone knows how to set up tags for a server?
