Hello, everyone.

I changed my autobuy.txt settings so I could get more with my autobuy, after I edited and saved the file I returned back and reconnected to a server I always play on. This time, I noticed it was very, very laggy. I have never had this problem before and it started immediately after I changed the autobuy.txt file to my likings.

Here is a list of things I have tried to cut down my lag problem:

• Restart STEAM
• Restart Computer
• Delete autobuy.txt
• Reinstall Counter-Strike
• Change Brightness
• Change Rates
  • cl_cmdrate 100
  • cl_updaterate 100
  • rate 25000

Still, I lag like crazy, I can't even play it is so bad. This came out of nowhere and was sudden. Does anyone know why I am experiencing these problems?

try to delete:

ClientRegistry.blob

I deleted it and then restarted STEAM.

I joined a server and still lagged really bad.

Re-do your OS lol . In-fact, I'm going to do this because I lag in-game (framerate) .

This just started happening out of nowhere, though.

Mine seemed to be that way too. I found out that when I do "lag" my hl.exe is running at 99%. I tested on my second OS on this computer (same hardware) and did not have the issue.

I'm going to try a couple more things, I'll keep you posted.

In the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions, please post them!

I had lag problems too, and i fixed it by doing an system restore.
If you do this your computer will become exactly as it was another day which you will be able to choose
