How to get more players in case of Steam-only players accepted?
All third-party sites have only non-steam players, the official masterserver has too many redirect servers so all players are somewhere but not at your CS 1.6 server.

What is a trend today?

cs 1.6 is kind dead for steam only servers most of time you don't find full steam servers its very rare. some communities have steam players but with out a cimmunity its a bit hard.

Wow. On the one hand here, if the topic is directly or not directly connected with non-steam, people recommend the universal solution to make the steam-only server. On the other hand there is NO legal possibility to make this server full of players.

For sure there is, but this won't work in a few days.
You need a few friends and much time.
Play with your friends on your server even if you are allone. Other will join the server. If the server is attractive for them they will come back. After some time they will start doing the same once there are some more players. They will join it even if it is empty because others will join sooner or later.
My server where full a few minutes after one of my clan joined one of our servers.
As saied: it is not hard but needs time.

• MAke DD2 or one of its ugly versions running 24/7/365.2422
• Sell admin slots.
• Install a nice SHOP/VIP/BHOP plugin.
• Ignore cheaters.
• Disable VAC (to allow clean people who were banned by mistake to play in full-of-cheats server).

Mordekay, it's not a solution. First the server should not be empty so bots may be. Second there is over999 servers with 10+ players so nobody will join server with 5+ players. How that over9999 steam-only servers get players?

Well, my solution worked good for me for somewhat around 10 years. Make your own decisions.
Who saies that all these are real players? Who saies that these are all steam-servers?
