The mission files of all official campaigns contain the knife, so there shouldn't be a campaign restriction. Might be just the random spawning behaviour if there's no knife on a map; sometimes you get a few next to each other and sometimes none for a few maps.

It's working fine on our server so far btw

@irogue: Let us know if you get it working.

@Visual77: Yeah Valve only care about TF2 and other stuff that makes them money, so I guess theres no point in blocking L4D2 server.

I don't think it's an issue with the melee weapon script, maybe because I had the melee vscripts installed, but when I tested on c1m2 most of the time I could spawn the knife with the zombie and weapon spawner, but just a couple times it didn't work.

Yeh i re installed server on my host as it was due for a rebuild, i installed from the web control panel menu Sourcemod 1.4.2 thinking this was the official release but when i got the information in game via console it appears it is the -dev release (somehow they have both sourcemod builds as a -dev release and tagged them wrong leaving me with no luck.

I have put a support ticket request with my hosting co' asking them to add the official build for 1.4.2 and just now have to wait and then isntall it once it is available.

Riot Shield isn't a script at all, only materials/models are there. I looked in the files and knife is there, but no riot shield. Unless he makes a script for a new melee weapon, he can't. It would require every client to download the new melee weapon script.
