Hello guys,

Which do you prefer for 128 tick CS:GO server running?
I want 26-32 players under 8-10 sv.
Do you guys have any proposition how the best to setup the dedicated server?

Thanks for the answers.

Intel is slightly better, but I assume you can't see difference with these two, running srcds. I don't know.

Ryzen 9 3900x, best pick overall.

More cores, more threads = better performance, perfect for SRCDS hosting.

A quick question, any idea how many 10-12 slots 128 tick CS:GO servers can host one of those dedicated servers for competitive matches?

I think I'll use centos 7 for this. If you know better distros for this job let me know..

If the two value is very close, I will go with 3900x, I own one, and the clock frequency is just marginally lower than the 9900k, but offers more core/thread count.

Even though SRCD doesn't utilize multi-threading that well, it's still beneficial for hosting multiples or other applications.

You will be able to achiev decent var/sv values with both.
If you want to run many servers I would go with the one that has a higher core/thread count, which is the Ryzen 3900X.
