Why? This modification isn't supported nor being updated anymore (at least that is the impression I got)

Yeah I'm not doing that anymore, meaning modifying NP++ itself ; it's just a pain in the ass to update.
I was planning to release instead a User-Defined language file, because the new UDL version works enough well now, but did not have time to finish it. On the TODO list.
