I've edited some files in my sourcebans so if I upgrade I'll overwrite all those modifications. Can I just make changes to the files listed here?

No, there were no changes at all in this revision except of tagging it as 1.4.5 instead of 1.4.4. You'd need to upload all files and repaste the changes you made before, as long you remember them.

Argh, even SourceBans requires straight connection to mySQL database which I don't have, and the web interface is made to not connect. Grrrr.

So that's the last SQL database-based Addon I've found ...

So far, Sourcebans doesn't work for us at all: it can't query the Servers and all banneds get in. If it makes any diff, the files are on a 1&1 webspace while the database is on www.freemysql.net. Apparently I can RCON the Servers via the SourceBans RCON window.

The only thing I can say is, it has to be user error. Sourcebans works for thousands of people, or we wouldnt be using it.
