sm_theadshotonly_sniper_head_onlyzoomed gives me an idea. Can you create a separate modifier for bodyshots that makes a difference if you noscope someone?

Thrawn,

Jameless just suggested me an idea that would make this plugin even more awesome.

Could you make it so it can activate the cvars restricted to a specific player? Just like votekick or voteban we would like to have a votebodyshot. Right now members of our community are complaining about this plugin but there are certainly cases where people should be restrained from making bodyshots.

this would bloat this plugin a lot.
i'd need to remember who got banned etc - this adds a layer of complexity i'm not sure i want to have in the plugin.
i'll have to think about it - cause i agree, would be a nice feature to have. but is it worth it? think clientprefs/rawfile for remembering banned clients. then again it would be a waste just to be able to _en/disable_ this for a user, but instead i'd want _custom modifiers_ per user etc etc.

@Thrawn: I can see how it could potentially bloat the plugin, however perhaps it can be done in a different way. Perhaps you can have it query a sniper's KTD ratio and apply a static formula to that. This way the more kills a sniper gets without the other team stopping him the less bodyshotdmg allowed. I think this could assist both sides of the argument. If a sniper is only bodyshotting but the other team is still managing to kill him then he can still bodyshot to get an occassional kill. But if a sniper is good and is just bodyshotting because it is easier or camping with a medic and just bodyshotting like crazy then he will be forced to play better and headshot only. Of course this is your plugin and how you'd like to handle it is up to you. But I think this would be an excellent addition to your already excellent code.

in a seperate plugin maybe. or i'll add some natives and split functionality over several plugins. but this plugin itself will never be individual to players. maybe i'll fork it. i dont know yet.
the additions would make the "excellent code" way less excellent. it's so much overhead for so little effect - it does not fit into the concept of this plugin - simple and as little intrusive as possible (no chat messages etc).
your ktd ratio idea could work in the real world, but again it would bloat this A LOT. the plugin would need a totally different approach. i'd have to count head/body/total shots etc.
--> i dont agree. it wouldnt be an excellent addition. but it could make a useful alternative

@thrawn: K I hear ya. It was just a request. What we are finding in response to this plugin is good snipers like it, bad snipers don't. I was just trying to think of a way to please both but if it bloats it then I agree it isn't worth it.

@cybersquare420: Yea I've found that people complain no matter how perfect you make things on the server. You can't please all of the people all of the time.
