Heya,

The idea is to have a default web-interface for source-mod.

One where you can:

- load/unload/pause plugins
- manage admins
- manage motds/configfiles/etc
- manage bans
- etc.

I think having something like this will give sourcemod more functionality (instead of waiting for ppl like me to whip up something)

Please make sure that any WebAdmin module for SourceMod will be able to work with MySQL databases.

Cheers!!

I think it should support different DBs... but yeah, MySQl would definately be one of them

This is perfectly possible as a plugin, and it could even be made for AMX-MOD-X right now.

I'm not going to do it though... I have other things to do.

[idea]
It would be cool to "say /admin" and if your an admin it MOTD's your web administration interface.
[/idea]

I think a web interface would be great. I don't see a need for it to be accessable(sp) with a MOTD in game but for external management of the server is always nice for admins who shouldn't have access to the linux/windows box itself.

What would be even better is a back-end plugin that lets people add admins via web (like what you said) but seperate from amxmodx. People can add admins remotely. We have a server rental site and some people pay a few bucks for admin. I've tried making a script to add their steamid automatically to the users.ini file once they paid, paypal redirected them, but couldn't get it to work. Had it ftp to the actual windows server and try to add their steamid to the users.ini file, never did get it to work.

Why not do something like djeyl's webmod (Metamod), but made for use with sourcemod. I think that should work if it doesnt have to much pictures and things like that, becouse it shouldnt be to funny if the server is lagging every time someones using the admin interface. But I definitly think it should be connected to a database, so you could share bans and stuff like that with other servers.
