FlaminSarge, we only implemented the changes Laufer suggested. I would not know how to do that, you could ask Laufer or maybe Damizean will implement the feature of steam ID's in his next release of the plugin.

Maybe someone has posted something like this before but oh well.

Its not the cleanest of code prob but it works.

I created a PHP script to generate the .dep files, cause I had no wish to have to create them by hand.

Simply place your materials/models in the appropriate folder. This only works for */subfolder/* (ex models/hats/myhat/) it will read the files out of the "myhat" folder, also it requires the mats folder to also be "myhat" (ex materials/hats/myhat/)

Not perfect by all means, and it won't cover everyone's situation likely but it worked for me.

PM me if you need help, (it places the .dep in the model folder where it should be). If enough people ask me to I will see about fixing it up to be alot more dynamic

Oh, right, I remember, Laufer had the original post on adding SteamID support.
Laufer, how would I modify the plugin so that if I put in "ALL" in the steamid section, it restricts as it does currently, but if I put steamIDs in, it restricts to those steamid's?
An empty thing instead of "ALL" works too ("").

To my servers config, but it keeps displaying hints and info when players are joining. I don't want regulars to know i'm installing this plugin until i've added my custom hats and set their flags. Anyone know how to properly disable?

I've tried changing the 0 to a 1 as well but no luck.

Snaggle, those apply on server startup, but there is ANOTHER file in tf/cfg/sourcemod called TF2_Equipment.cfg (I think). That file gets executed AFTER the server startup file which you put those in. If you delete those two lines from your server cfg and edit those same lines in this TF2_Equipment.cfg, it will work fine.

Thanks. Does anyone know a pack I can download that has hats for all classes? Zukos is a nice pack, but it takes ages to send the files to players and I need hats that work with all classes, like the Pedobear one.

Zuko's pack is the only one I know of that is completely ready for the plugin. You could try some of MantaEngie's hats though. Also, make sure you get Zuko's hat pack update (by jouva), and you can even select which hats to put on your server if you get the file system set up right.

Don't just upload the materials and models folder to your server, pick certain folders within those to upload.

Yea I managed to select which hats from his pack I uploaded, but I only want hats that can be used for all classes and that work for all classes, like the Pedobear example one.

Snaggle, in Zuko's hat pack (Jouva update) there is a folder "cfg", inside that, you can see which hats are for all classes (There's an All Classes.txt file with the list)

I had a quick look through this topic since my last reply. I reported that this was crashing my Windows server... has there been any fix since then? People say v117 is working but I don't want to use that because other players can not see the hats.
