Have you blocked buyzones? (So you cannot buy weapons at spawn anymore)

no, but if you pick up or buy a weapon, you automatical drop it

It may interfare a knife fight, if you accidently pick up a weapon in the middle of a combat fight. Of course you will "drop" it instantly, but there's a short delay, where you cannot use your knife during the "drop".

This will be a huge advantage for the enemy and may cost your life in a knife battle.

Hook AddPlayerItem pre and supercede to not allow people to pick them up. If you want to remove the ent you'll have to do it on spawn.
