Hi,

Steam on their web api documentation have written this:

I don't understand then if when I make a user login to my website using steam, I have to provide that img in order to don't break their TOS or it's just a "suggestion".
I'm asking this since on many websites I've seen other buttons.

You can use any button/img/whatchu might call it you want.

A "request" is different than a "requirement":

You can use whatever image button (or text link) you want to use, but what Valve requests you to do, is to ensure that people are aware of the fact that your site isn't "officially" tied together (associated) with Valve.

Therefore, they ask you nicely to only use the images, which clearly shows that your page is not an official Valve/Steam page.
