AMXX 1.60 stops loading...

Hi everybody,

i am running a hlds-cs server on my debian linux root machine. It worked flawlessly since amxx 1.60 release but it stops working now. Following situation:

Server tries to startup and ends with following message:
L 10/18/2005 - 19:19

3: Server cvars end
L 10/18/2005 - 19:19

3: -------- Mapchange to de_dust --------

then nothing happens for around ~ 10-20minutes, after that time the server loads the map de_dust and everything seems to be fine (while "hanging" the server eats 100% cpu and load rises to 3+). After that situation everything "seems" to be okay but if you join the server no languages have been loaded, no menus are visible.

If i disable amxx 1.60 everything is fine, server boots up like a hurricane and is fully playable. Nothing has been changed, it stops working from one day to another. Any clues?

I am running only basic plugins and funmodule. No customs, i also disabled funmodule but nothing worked.

Since you dont ahve anything in there of too muvh value, delete it and reinstall it. Make sure you have the right version for your system and addon pack

Well, as i told. The machine has been running since release of amxx 1.60 flawlessly. I even reinstalled the amxx completely but the server stops working. I switched back to 1.01 and everything is ok. 1.60 won´t run anymore. Nothing has been changed on the machine for many month now.
I even installed a clean fresh install of hlds and fresh amxx 1.60, doesnt work.

Ehm. I won´t have asked here if i know the solution why it doesn´t work.
I´ve no clue, it hangs after "Server cvars end... --- Mapchange to..." for about 20 minutes and the goes online. But there is no real functionality as it seems amxx has been loaded incompletely or such stuff. No menu outputs (only 1. 2. 3. 4.), no language outputs etc.

did you ahve the new metamod 1.18 installed for your 1.60 version?

Thanks for your help, but as my first post stated. EVERYTHING worked till yesterday and amxx stopped working. Yes i am running metamod 1.18p26 as it worked fine. I am using the p-versions only, never used an original metamod version for many releases now...

if you load a plugin from a previous version of the amxx series based on PAWN, it will lock up like that.

Nothing has been changed. I am using the default plugins of amxx 1.60, thats all.
