luck you making port to L4D1. I wonder if it will be possible to change the weather in the course of the time of the round or the map?

Actually there are almost nothing to do to make it work, just comment some properties not applicable for L4d1.
E.g., rain, snow, wind, fog, maplight, skyboxes work ok. Everything (except skybox, maplight - not checked) can be chaged in the middle of round. Actually I'm using own plugin to set weather behaviour using Silver's console commands. It was required some changes (unlock) in orig. plugin.
Lightning is not work, require L4D2 particles and, possibly, special skyboxes. I will try to add that later.

Here is current forked version with above restrictions and 'speech_voice' errors, possibly due to fact I'm using 3d-party skybox.

We have already carried all the particles from L4D2 to L4D, maybe that can be useful, also the complete skies of L4D2

I mean the case that does not require manual overwriting client files.

have you added lightning yet? in the previous version of silvers which i use has lightning and the lightning can strike the zombie causes it burn or even strikes the survivors

hmm, maybe it is applicable for some skyboxes only. What map did you noticed it?

It can be emulated with temp entity with lighting sprite, but it require scaling, I'm not sure how to do.

Thanks for updating the plugins, can you add japan sakura leaves to the plugin beside snow effects?
