Hello guys,

this is my first post, so i want to apologize if i am posting it in the wrong spot. Also i am not a native english speaker so expect some grammar mistakes etc.
-------
I wanted to extract some weapon skins from CSGO to check out how they were designed and to use them on some of my projects because the skins looked really cool.
I used GCFScape to open the "pak01_dir.vpk" file. I then exported the "materials" folder and went to "materials\models\weapons\customization\paint s". I found some skins like the "AWP Asiimov" and many others as VTF Files. I know how to work with these but there a some missing skins.

For example i have the "AUG Wings" in the file called "feathers_aug" in the "hydrographic" folder. The problem is that the texture is somewhat messed up. I can clearly see that it has to be the texture for the "AUG Wings" but its green/black. This happened to many skins i found in there. I will give you the link for the vtf-File and everything that could be of use.

The actual skin: http://csgostash.com/img/skins/s80.png
The exported picture: http://i.epvpimg.com/JcIqb.png
The .vtf-File: https://mega.co.nz/#!UFZADbJA!sDa7A1...qaocxugXM9IuVw

To be clear: Is there any way to export these files so that the texture is right and not messed up in all of these strange colours? Can this be something that valve did intentionally so that you can't export the textures?

Anyway, sorry for the wall of text. I hope that someone can help me. You can also contact me trough Steam. (https://steamcommunity.com/id/triplemike/)
