My idea was since I'm still experimenting with this plugin, I was hoping to see if paint worked on weapons even if it at least took a shade of the color. I'm not using this for hats, people assume too much.

I'll do you a deal, email Valve and ask them about it, since I never get responses.
  • Attaching particle effects to hats and weapons using the item attribute.
  • Adding colour tints to hats and weapons using the item attribute.

Ask them to reply to asherkin (at) gmail (dot) com, so it can't have been faked.
If they give the O.K., I'll even post full details on using the paint attribute here, hows that?

Ginxeng - It's really easy to paint things even without reading the whole thread (To be honest I don't know if there is any info about it on this thread). I've learned it all by myself just by reading the all attributes in items_game and by using my brain.
It's simple and takes about 30-40min to learn it just by doing the things i said.


PS> You cannot paint weapons (or hats that are not paintable in the game).

Easy way to Paint Weapons!
new entity = GetPlayerWeaponSlot(client, 0);
SetEntityRenderMode(entity, RENDER_TRANSCOLOR);
SetEntityRenderColor(entity, 255, 0, 0, 255);

This makes whatever slot1 weapon red. woo red.

Can I have a cookie, ash? Please?
