.rar ext

i see the .rar extension is not allowed, when posting files ...
neither the .amxx, it doesn't even let u attach it
but why does it let u attach .rars ? should it be that way ?

rar is only not allowed when posting heroes (zip is more universal, no "how do i open this file" posts). But if someone were to say post there config files they were having problems with they could use rar or any of the other compression types allowed...

Though I can see what you are getting at, and maybe it should be disallowed completely to avoid the posting a rar format when posting heroes.

ok, i see ... but few people use rar, zip is incorporated in xp, if i recall correctly

people that know about rar use it over zip for obvious reasons... and yes zip is incorporated in winXP.

obvious reasons ? providing i don't know why they are, it's clear they're not so obvious. so, what's winrar got better? compression rate or wha' ?

7zip actually....

but yeah ace is better than rar usually, but no one uses ace much.
