Anybody use a godaddy.com web hosting package? I got a 2 month package and their tech support sucks, so I'm askin for your help!

I set everything up, I guess my domain is urbanparadise.com. I'm pointing the sv_downloadurl to it but I'm still getting like a 5min download on a map. Anyone got any ideas? If you buy a package is your domain like godaddy.urbanparadise.com?

hope someone else out there can relate

Did you buy a domain and hosting or just the domain? If you bought both, did you upload the files?

I'm going to be completely redundant and repeat what was already posted.

Did you buy the domain and web hosting package, or only the domain?
If you bought the web hosting package, did you upload the files to appropriate URL that you are using in your sv_downloadurl setting?

I paid for the web hosting package for 2 months. I guess it came with a domain because it lists the one I chose. I uploaded all of the files, and I pointed the sv_downloadurl to the site, but it still takes forever. Their site has a bad layout and help files that's for sure. I had all my stuff on a free web server but I think I got my account deleted because I was "hosting files." (which makes no sense)

So I switched to godaddy.com and my server has been screwed because I host custom maps...

Please help, the tech support line is horrendous!!!

did you contact your local authorities? If not do that and report GoDaddy for having a bad tech support line

and you will probably get a response like...

Rough, not funny... and not very helpful. Not that my post is any more helpful.

laff, I love sucky webservers. (How bout you shell out the extra few bucks and actually get DECENT hosting, and not just cheap reseller sites?)

urbanparadise.com is not your domain. The first (but not necessarily your last) problem that you must overcome is to establish what public address you can use to download your files. This information should be contained in the welcome package GoDaddy will have sent you.
