Rename2 isn't supposed to be a permanent solution. Ideally this extension should be built into SM, since it allows the stock rename command to be used again.

is it possible for css to change the names via a cfg-list depend from the steam id?
something like that:

Steam 0:0:12345 Name: hanswurst
Steam 0:0:678910 Name: karleinz

and so on.

Means: i join to the server with my name "killer" then the plugin checks my steam id and the name changes to my clan-name "xyz" ?? (for other clan member too)

Yes this is possible but has nothing to do with the extension that's for a plugin.

Hi Drifter,

I've installed your "name Change" Extension. Got SM 1.3.7 on my Server and no other Plugins oder Extension but yours. I also installed the "sm_rename2" Plugin, wich was written by another User.

But... It will change the Name and the Server will NOT change it back. Thats fine!! Thx so far. BUT!... it doesn't matter what I do - the Result (as shown on the Scoreboard) is always "name" and not the New Name I choosed. So it will not change to name of my Choice. Always "name".

Do you have an Idea?

I have linux ubuntu.
Works good. I can change to any name typing in console.
But how to do this way:

Choose in sm_admin menu command sm_rename and then it would ask me to type new name in chat? It would be great. Maybe somebody can help?
