Yeah but most no-steam players aren't exactly playing on no-steam because they didn't want to buy a $15 game.. So announcing something, which has already been announced via reddit and steam itself, seems like a pointless post.

It's only for CS:GO, CS:S and CS 1.6 still need to be purchased. Those who play non-steam CS:GO probably are already aware it's free, those on the other games do not care and will continue.

It was also plugged on the homepage of the Steam Store for a good month so I wouldn't be surprised if people aren't aware already/
