How do I check the cvar for one I haven't set myself? Wht file will I find these cvar's listed by default?

TYPE IN CONSOLE z_mega_mob_size, and you will see its value. The same goes for other cvars. If cvar is protected you will need to use "sm_cvar cvar-name".

z_mega_mob_size = 50
z_mob_spawn_max_size = 30
z_mob_spawn_finale_size = 20

If I did your math correct in the first post, with the zombiestoadd cvar set to 2 with 4 survivors, that should only be a total of 58, but the hordes are MUCH larger than that.

Umm,i have no idea, i will test some finale missions with it, but honestly i didnt messed with finale. This plugin only dinamically changes 3 cvars based on survivors count, i have no idea how it can affect finale or anything else.

If the finales are jacked up for you too, just disabling the plugin on the finales would be fine. If you have any info on how I can set the plugin differently for each level, please pass it along.

Ok i tested it with bots (will test with living players today in evening) and all seems to be fine. Mob sizes still usual (more than default sizes ofc). Also consider that:
1: l4d_mobcontrol_zombiestoadd value will change to value stated in plugin's config EVERY map change. So if you changed it to 2 from console on 4th map, you will still get default value of 8 (or whatever is in plugin's config) on 5th map.

2: I think you already know that to change some variables in-game you need to use sm_cvar "cvar-name" (including this plugin's cvars).
3: You cant count how much mobs you have on the screen during horde attack (at least unless you pause server). It can be somehow deceiving. When i saw a megamob with 60 zombies (z_mega_mob_size was 60) i thought "OMG how many zombies", then i set it to 100, and 60 zombies seemed totally harmless, compared to mob of 100 zombies.

Ok, i played along with 19 ppl yesterday and we managed to finish No Mercy campaign. I set mega_mob value to 20, and extra zombies to 4 per survivor (so it would be 60 at max), mob_max_size to 15 (55 would be max), and mob_min_size to 1 (41 max), considering there is 10 max survivors.

I didnt found anything unusual. Both teams were equally crappy though, so only few ppl from one team could get to helicopter, but tank also got inside (lolz) so noone escaped. I will add enable/disable cvar soon.

New version available with new fature. I cant test it right now, but i think it should work fine. I will remove old one, when i confirm that new one doesnt have any bugs.

Ok, found mistake in code. Fixed now.


Ok i was wrong, versus modifier still applies. Didnt noticed it applies after tank spawned though.

Found major mistake with enbale cvar. Will fix in an hour. FIXED

So, any chance this plaugin will work with L4D2?
