Server Management from the shell ?

Is there any way to ban/unban/etc from the shell instead of being in the game? I tried once just editing the banned.cfg file but it was overwritten by the server shortly after and my changes were undone, which makes sense.

Anyone?

I have it but the ban/unban options only seem to apply to wonids, where I only use steam ids on the server ... I also seem to be having some issues due to my firewall, eg - it wont download logs , etc ...

hlsw does use steamID's. and open port 7130 on ur firewall.

it works with steam-ids... we use it on our server (1.6.)

Well I figured I must just have an older copy so I downloaded the latest beta and yep, that was it... I was using 1.0.0 but it didnt have 1.6 support apparently.
