Hello everybody,

When I install serv it update automatically, but when I config it, I can do update automaticalY, I think is because our login when we send files on the ftp have not the right power, but I’m novice on Linux.

Could you write me step by step how I can do :

- put all my files on ftp in right power
- put m’y login with right power

Path Csgo : home/csgoserver/serverfiles/csgo
My login : csgoserver

Im tired I have 12 servers and when have maj cs go I do the maj manually. It take too much time for me.

i use it but when i install my serv this work

./csgoserver update

but when i have sent files etc.. dont work and too many errors bcs files are loading with login with bad powr access on my linux

but im novice on linux idk how to do put all files by default like root or idk but to avoid this error

Oh i think I have fix it with chown

Okey i have fixed it but i have other problem,

when logs are created they use root power and not my "csgoserver" power, how i can modify it ?

To resume :

When i do

chown -hR csgoserver /home/csgoserver The update work correctly,


But when logs files are created, it created by root

and the update dont work more, i need to rewrite chown -hR csgoserver /home/csgoserver for update serv


Also i have tried to do : chown -R csgoserver:csgoserver /home/csgoserver

But same problem,

i think server is starting on round and i need to start it on csgoserver

Okey this is fixed I can update with ./csgoserver update

But auto update don’t work I have this error :
Apt -get update failed exit error 100
