Great job this works wonderfully, bit bugged on the passing but its a very nice plugin with the original survivors.

Here are a couple bugs but otherwise its win.

Impressive!!! Now we need to fix 2 things:

-An VPK or CFG file to say the game where to take the voices for original survivors.

-A way to use the models in the other campaigns (Now only works in the passing).

I have to say that you are the person who make the FIRST MODELS to work in a Left 4 dead.

Yes I say MODELS because, ALL the other "models" were only skins, using the animations of Coach, Rochelle....

The original survivors have better animations. Thanks dude!

If we fix those 2 things the perfection would be reached.

P.D.: I´m going to link this post to the request of the 8 survivors if you like.

Hey Ive got them working in all campaigns, also there is no Bill model to use properly, and they do use the original survivor voice files when calling out things.

Strange, they work on all campaigns for me. The models are precached before hand so that they work on any campaign.

Hey I got a bug for you, I have anti kick on myself and it still kicked me and another guy from the server when we died as old survivors.

Any way to fix this?


Also there are no player icons loaded and after you use the L4D1 survivors the little icon goes blank, HOWEVER inside the pak01 file the icons are there and they do work in L4D2 so perhaps you can make these get loaded aswell?

The names and directory for the textures are Materials/vgui, the same exact directory as the L4D2 character icons.

then the names are s_panel_manager, s_panel_teenangst, and s_panel_biker. They are the same size and they were used in the replacement mods so I know they are the right size.


Edit:

Alright I got the error for the last level of the passing, it glitches and you get stuck up above with the real L4D1 survivors, then if you slay to restart level you get this.

Maybe precache_l4d1_survors would help for getting other campaigns to work with left 4 dead 1 survivors?

If it still crashes using just the CSM plugin then use this aswell.

Save it as a .sp then use the compiler, then use CSM as you normally would.

Edit: another easier thing to do would be to add sm_cvar precache_l4d1_survivors 1 to your autoexec.

The first bug sounds like the engine is kicking you. I'm not sure if its possible to fix.

As for the icons, how did you get them to work? It is possible to precache generic files using "PrecacheGeneric", but precaching those files you said had no results.

EDIT: I found out why the plugin isn't precaching correctly, will release 1.6 soon.
