I have problem and i don't know when this happened and why this happened
When i play L4D2 normally (even valve official map) i keep hear the crackling/popping sounds and it's VERY irritating. Even disables all the sound workshop.

I swear this didn't happened before but now it's always doing that

But then i just realize that removing sourcemod folder stop crackling/popping sound so it's definitely not something and doesn't solve anything with "snd_rebuildcache" command

I sometime see "late precache wav" things on console command although i don't know if this has something to do with crackling/popping noise

Everything crackling/popping started after I update either sourcemod, some plugins or l4d2 update patch.
When this situation happened how do i solve or fix it? I need help, i can't play l4d2

I'm 100% this will gave you headache and might want to shoot me but what is SRCDS and how to use MM:S and SM?

I google it and said "Getting started with HLDSUpdatetool" but that things no longer available to download

Also do i need SRCDS?
I was able to play the game and use all the plugins with fine singleplayer mode but does this fix the crackling sound?

Can i play a game without dedicate server? I only play alone

Hello, thank you for advice
Unfortunately i already try verify integrity but i still heard the crackling sound not only from weapons but also other sound (from infected/survivors sound, walking sound? spawning sound?)

The crackling sounds stop when i remove the sourcemod folder so i'm guessing it has nothing to do with all the wav files

then ya .. you have problem with your server

then Properties
choose Playback Tab
choose your speakers or your headset
then Properties
then Advanced Tab
change bit rate to match audio files 
choose between 
16 bit 48000
or 
24 bit 44100

# if yes

then you have problem with your Game/Windows sound

could be your audio driver windows 10

could be Game Files 
recommended  to delete game and fresh install

Again could be other problem these are on my head

It have been said many times,
listen server is not supported using those addons.

But people still keep encourage and help use addons in game itself.

Hi, i know this is late reply but after fresh all the uninstall and reinstall, Use S-Downloader, update windows audio, change audio bits, add all recommended launch option on google

I think it finally stop the crackling/popping sound bugs (Although i'm not sure yet,i need to play/test more)
