I had problems with sm_hpk_enabled (just load/unload the plugin) and with sm_maxping which is where I changed the default value and recompiled

Try either just putting them in admins.cfg or admins_simple.ini (whichever you use) without any flags or give them a custom flag that you are not using, so long as they show as a admin to the plugin they are ping immune

Then you would need to rewrite the plugin to check a list of IP's/Steam ID's for immunity or something similar as this just checks for Admin when it does immunity
