Not a bug, that's the games director changing them. Think there might be a director game cvar that converts them, or you didn't set the plugins cvar l4d2_melee_spawn_randomise to 0.

Why would you manually edit? Use the commands to delete and place new ones. If you just want to change the type then change the "mod" value. No I don't have a config with them saved in saferooms, everyone wants something different and I'm not spending hours on stuff only 1 person will use.


Also before anyone asks, I will not support spawning golden crossbars that are related to new achievement.

It was never created with custom melee weapons in mind. You would have to edit the plugin and add them, for example search "shovel" and wherever that appears add custom ones below. Could possibly update to optionally use Info Editor to detect current melee weapons allowed on the map, but this could cause issues with saving if the allowed melee was changed breaking the relative index. It's not something I'll do.

Hello, I have installed the extension or the plugin mision and weapon. But it is not working. I followed the steps it says

The code for the shield has been commented out in the code. I don't know if uncommenting the two lines would allow it to work. You would need another method to actually allow Shields to be spawned. I don't have the details, maybe someone can provide.

Does not spawn any melee weapons on the map, as well as reinstalling the quest and weapon extension and addon 2 times.
