Eyetest can sometimes be real, or sometimes fake. I've had one kid on my server come on and low key aimbot. It was detecting him for eye test violations, but wasn't banning him because I had shut off eyetest only a few days ago. I haven't had a false eye test accusation in a while.
But this can help you out to uncover eyetest. If a person has been banned for eyetest, wait like 30 minutes to a day or even a week to see if they get a VAC ban. If they don't within those periods, it's probably fake.
You can also try googling the SteamID (won't help if the account is brand new) and or you can try googling the IP (91.232.44.2 sourcebans) because some people are too dumb to use a vpn.
You can also try going into logs/smac.log and seeing what he got banned under. For example:

That was being spammed in my logs thousands of times because eyetest was shut off at the time. This would be a proper eyetest ban reason in my eyes.
But sometimes the other ban reason could be real. It's real because he got VAC banned.

Anyway, in this case, it's most likely a false ban. I hope all these ways will help you in the future.
