I'm not 100% sure, but it seems sometimes it shows the standard message, and sometimes it doesn't (when standard is on and enhanced is off).

well that all looks fine then. Any errors in the error logs? confirmed the plugin is loaded with 'sm plugins list'?

can anyone else confim this works with l4d at this stage?

It works fine for me, using it in a dedicated Linux server

I am new to this server mod setup..I have 99% of all my mods running in L4D but having trouble configuring this one. The connect announce part works but the custom message does not display..I used the template provided in the original post..example...

{DEFAULT} Welcome to server
{LIGHTGREEN} Following Mods running
{GREEN} Enjoy your stay

Is this not the correct format..thanks for your help.

I'd just like to give an update on my situation..

I finally paid attention while playing. And when I disable the enhanced disconnect message (but have the standard one on), it will SOMETIMES show the standard message, but not all the times.

Again, this is in l4d. I'm only using the enhanced one right now since I'd rather have it always show than not have anything at all when someone disconnects.

Arg! is it possible to remove all connect messages ... i just don't want to see them ,or the better is when server is full and can't take anymore players to stop the spam in the chat because what happen is :

players keep writing in game console "connect ip" and the chat gets just spamed like crazy

any ideas ?
