There don't seem to be any errors.
When I try the trace action i see the light and it says that i sprayed someones spray and what not all of that. But it never sprays it?

Whenever I look at someones spray it never tells me who's it is. I've seen servers running this plugin and thought it was rather nice to get that HUD pop up saying who's spray it was and all. But I just don't understand why it doesn't work for mine :/

What happens when you use the "Trace Spray" option. Not the "Admin spray" or "Remove spray" but the "Trace spray".

Also, can you paste the option of the "sm version" command please?

Hey ya. this is what happens. When I use the trace option it tells me who's it was and their steam ID. which is great. Sorry if I made it confusing. I have a habit of doing that. I was just trying to figure out what I've done to make no hud message pop up for myself and admins to see whos spray it was and steam id. and everyone else just being able to see who's spray it is.

Or is..that not what is supposed to happen. Here's what happens in console when i use the trace spray. so it IS working properly now. Just i get no hud message only a chat message and i have to trace for that.

Um yeah. so that works....but what am i doing wrong when it comes to just letting everyone face them and being able to see who sprayed what?

Kinda confusing but I think I understand you.

If the HUD doesn't come up just when you look at it, check your sm_spray_refresh to make sure it is > 0.0

If it is, try changing sm_spray_usehud to 0 (or 1 if it is 0 already)

Alright, So i tried all of this. spray refresh wasn't right so i changed it. it didn't work. so i tried changing the use hud to 0 it didn't work

Also I noticed that when I try to use the "admin spray" menu and spray other peoples sprays. it says I spray them but they never appear.

The fact that part of the plugin works but other parts means it's probably not you.

Did you make sure to change the values in the spraytrace.plugin.cfg in your cfg/sourcemod folder? If you changed it elsewhere (except directly in the server console) it wouldn't have any effect.


If you did that and it's still not working, then I would assume the feature that this plugin uses isn't working correctly in Left 4 Dead.


Is anyone else using this successfully in Left 4 Dead?

Hello i looked at a lot of the post and did not see what flag spray trace uses other then the ban one...(d) is their any way to set it as its own flag?
