With web precaching, is it possible to only place the compressed ztmp files at the web space?

it does not use the ztmp files at all it sends the uncompressed files. Kinda dumb, they should have set it up where it would support zip files or something.

in May our content server put out 190GB... weeeeeee if they had compression it would be half that cause most maps compress 50% or more......

hmmmm you know what? I wonder if you setup mod_gzip to gzip bsp and wav files if it would work.... or if would just make steam puke.
