Hello everyone,

here is a small example how you can give player skins to all players on your server.
There is only one compromise, you have to be on the server. And yes it's not well coded, but I've coded this in 10mins, but I don't need it and only like to share this for you.
Maybe somone of you like to make cool plugin with this idea and like to share it.

And why it is here it that section?
It is indeed not well coded. You could just give several knife to source client and when equip all of them to some people since knifes are not get equipped by default. Creating and killing several hundreds of entities for no reason is just very messy and waste of time for that matter.

If too many servers use this, or worse yet try to sell it, Valve will simply make it so weapons you don't own appear as invisible.

If you ask "Why do you say that?" I'll point out that they already did this for TF2...

Not weapons! Weapon skins. Instead of making it invisible they can just apply stock skins.

It's not that they're different weapons that Valve had a problem with... it was that they're items that Valve sells for money in their store. Last I checked, that's exactly what Valve does with CS:GO knife reskins.

Why should valve care about this? This won't effect their marked in any way.

Why should they care about it with TF2 weapons that are gotten via random drop?

No clue, but they do... and they blocked them from being visible to other players.

It's an in-game mechanic they would have to seriously think about for a while before removing it.
Player's have the ability to pick up other player's weapons from the ground, when they kill someone it will show up as "You were killed by PLAYER with your own gun!"
So basically if you put this mechanic on your server than your players might get jealous because other's have your skin.
