Yes, the plugin works in Left 4 Dead 2.
But on certain events, the logs are spammed with the following content:

It seems that a simple conversion via Batch_Syntax_Converter helped...
I tested the game with a very long nickname, set the Hunter on fire and attacked the victim. Jumped from a height, a burning Hunter. The error doesn't seem to pop up.
