I would be happy to set up a forums on my server for this community.

I could just create another domain alias like sourceplugins.punkassfraggers.com and install forums on it.

I have a mySQL backend installed so, with some help, I could possibly even get a backup of the database from you and import it on the new forums and give the community their forums back untouched.

Let me know if this is do-able for you.

I don't really have to say this, but please don't. The last thing I want is my password in the hands of some untrusted person. Also, the forum was closed for a reason - not due to lack of bandwidth or server space. Besides the fact there is already a number of source coding forums.
