Ok, I'm not usually the one to ask, but when I edit my liblist.gam file from

gamedll "dlls/dod.dll"

to

gamedll "addons/metamod/dlls/metamod.dll"

I will run the server and even though it's saved as the metamod.dll

It changes itself back to dod.dll.

Can someone help me?

change it to readonly.

yes , you must set liblist.gam to readonly after this change , otherwise steam will override it.
